UK REACH is the UK’s version of the EU REACH regulation for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. After Brexit, EU REACH was brought into UK law on 1 January 2021 under the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 and became UK REACH.
UK REACH applies to chemical substances made in or imported into the UK at 1 tonne or more per year. It covers substances on their own, in mixtures, or in articles where the substance is intended to be released during normal use.
